Compliance Report
Our scheme governance arrangements are designed to ensure that we and our members conduct ourselves in line with the law, our membership rules and our standards. We publish the number of members who have had their certification either suspended or revoked. Around 45,000 farmers are Red Tractor members across the different sectors.

Sectors
Red Tractor’s membership is split across the main farming sectors.
While the exact number of Red Tractor members changes each day there are approximately:
- 19,220 beef and lamb members in England
- 10,600 dairy members in the UK
- 15,800 crops and sugar beet members in England and Wales
- 2,300 poultry members in GB
- 1,900 fresh produce members in GB
- 2,200 pig members in England, Wales and Northern Ireland
In the pig, dairy and poultry sectors we adopt a risk-based approach to assessments. Members in these sectors who are found to have poor compliance with the Red Tractor standards may see an increase in assessment frequency with some visits being carried out with no advance notice. If we continue to find evidence of poor compliance their certificate may be suspended, or their membership of the Scheme revoked in line with our rules.
