Red Tractor Poultry Sector Chair
Role overview:
Red Tractor is seeking to appoint a new Chair for the Poultry Board. The Sector Chair is appointed as a Director of Red Tractor and, therefore, a member of the Main Red Tractor Board. In line with the Governance structure, the role is also a member of the Standards Committee and potentially another sub-committee of the Main Board.
Key responsibilities:
In this role the successful candidate will engage equally with sector board members and all stakeholders in the sector, including farmers, farming unions, Processors, end customers, trade associations, Food Standards Agency, other Assurance Schemes, and Certification Bodies. Bringing these stakeholders together, they will be required to identify opportunities which contribute to Red Tractor’s vision and purpose.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will act in line with Red Tractor’s values and behaviours, they will have empathy and respect for the farming community and a good understanding of the poultry supply chain. In addition, the applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent chairmanship skills, allowing for a diversity of inputs, and acting independently from any stage of the food chain to arrive at decisions which benefit the sector.
