Key – Those standards which have greater significance (all other standards are normal)
Recommendation – Those which do not affect certification
New – A completely new standard which the member must now adhere to
Revised – A standard that has changed and requires the member to take some different or additional action to before
Upgraded – The standard has been upgraded to a Key standard or from a Recommendation to a full standard
Appendix – Referenced in ‘How you will be measured’. Indicates that additional information is provided in the Appendices, which are available at the end of each section.
SH.GP.a
Non Safe Haven Assured seed or ware potatoes must not be handled, graded or stored on the Safe Haven Assured production unit.
SH.GP.b
Safe Haven Assured seed potatoes must not be handled, graded or stored on a non-Safe Haven Assured production unit.

Packing records must be kept for all seed and ware potatoes from the Safe Haven Assured production unit.
How you will be measured
- If a packing site handles Safe Haven Assured seed potatoes from more than one Safe Haven Assured member records must be kept in order to demonstrate traceability from final pack to supplier.

SH.GP.d
If the Red Tractor Safe Haven logo is used it must be used in conjunction with the Safe Haven Scheme membership number.
How you will be measured
- If the Safe Haven logo is used, packaging, stationary, trade documentation, website and social media must display the Safe Haven member’s number alongside the Safe Haven logo.
- Copies of original artwork for printing are available from Red Tractor at safehaven@redtractorassurance.org.uk
- Safe Haven Logo, where used, must always be reproduced in accordance with guidelines on the Red Tractor website https://assurance.redtractor.org.uk/contentfiles/files/SchemeLogoRules.pdf

The Red Tractor Assurance Safe Haven Scheme Standards are part of the Red Tractor Food Assurance Scheme. The Standards include best practice and scientific evidence on the most effective way to exclude Ring Rot, Dickeya, Brown Rot and Epitrix.
The Standards must be read in conjunction with the Member Rules which all members are bound by.
